Plum Kuchen

To Whom It May Concern:

My great grandmother used to make this plum kuchen that was like a moist crumb cake that had plums marbled into the top of the kuchen. I have never had anything like that any where else and was hoping that someone might have also had this growing up and knew how to make it. Sadly, everyone in my family that would know this have either died or do not have a memory good enough to remember.

Thank you for your assistance.

OMG!!! I have wanted my Grandma's recipe for Phlamkuchen (spelled wrong, but that's what she called it) Plum cake. And the description of the cake you were looking for is just like the one I am looking for!! I will look up the one suggested in the other comments. Wonderful!

German Plum Cake
by: Sarah

Hi there!

This is my son's favourite cake! You are looking for Zwetschgendatschi as it is called here in Bavaria. You will find a recipe for it under easy dessert recipes on the nav bar.

Have fun baking it and I hope it brings back many happy memories.

Regards

Sarah
